Panic attacks at night Hi there. I recently shared a video on nocturnal panic attacks (link below). Here are some tips: 1. Work on your anxiety during the day. When your overall levels of anxiety are lower, you may also have fewer panic attacks at night. 2. Have a simple bedtime routine. Try going to bed and waking up around the same time each day. Doing the same things before bed can help your brain and body know that it is time to rest. 3. Try not to check emails, work messages, or stressful content before sleeping. Give your mind some time to switch off. 4. A warm bath, reading, gentle breathing, or another relaxing activity may also help. Getting some light movement or exercise during the day can support better sleep. 5. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol before bed. Alcohol may make you feel relaxed at first, but, as it is being digested, it can disturb your sleep and increase anxiety during the night. 6. Keep a panic journal. Write down what is on your mind before bed. Getting your thoughts onto paper can help clear your mind and show you any patterns or triggers.
