It's been a while since I've posted, I hope everyone is doing well on their journeys. I have been slowly exposing myself to higher heart rates and increased exertion. My trainer (who is aware and supportive of my exposure therapy) has been having me do full-power sprints and rests at the end of my workouts (where I'm already super tired). A few weeks ago, I was only able to do a couple but then the uncomfortable sensations would trip my alarm so I'd stop. But last week and this week, I was able to get through all five sprints, with some longer breaks in between. I'm hopeful that I can continue working up to less rest in between. That combination of a very high heart rate plus exhaustion and jelly legs sets off all of my alarms but that's a good thing.
