Today I went to a party, which feels strange to say since that's not a regular occurrence but I'm very proud of myself for going. At the beginning I felt really uneasy, I could hear the music and a lot of people talking. I instinctively decided to spend some time inside rather than rushing into the environment, my boyfriend was outside with his friends while I took some time to compose myself and get used to the environment. After maybe an hour, I felt good enough to join my boyfriend and talk to other people. I'm proud of myself for taking the time I needed to settle in rather than pretending to be ready before I was. I was also very proud of myself for engaging in conversations with people and also being authentic to myself and not fawning or forcing myself to be someone on not, i.e pretending I'm not anxious. Anyways here is a photo of the host's 13 year old dog Cooper 🐕
