The supermarket is my biggest trigger because it’s loud, bright, usually filled with people and colorful groceries everywhere. Almost every time I go there I have physical panic symptoms that I’m very used to. But sometimes my brain makes me think “what if today is the day you pass out for the first time”. Even after a decade of this lol. This happened today when I was standing in line. I knew I was safe but I also knew the symptoms would get unbearably uncomfortable. So I pretended I forgot something and left the line, walked around a bit and calmed down. The second attempt was better, the line was shorter and I had my shopping cart to lean on to. I’m sure I always look a bit weird when I’m standing there hunched over, looking around scared and shaking :D But as always once it’s my turn and I talk to the cashier the symptoms go away because I’m focusing on something else. I’m happy i made it because I don’t always do, but now I’m super exhausted! Good thing I have something to eat :D
