Today had some beautiful moments—my dad came over, and that filled my heart. But there were also waves. Quiet, creeping ones where I found myself constantly checking in with my body, wondering if I was okay. I had to stop myself from spiraling at least five times. Then came the school walk. Panic started bubbling up as I walked with my kids, and let me tell you… there is nothing scarier than the thought of having a full-blown panic attack in front of your children. So I slowed down. I looked at the sky. I grounded myself in their little voices and tiny steps. And I kept going. I pushed today—but not to the point of breaking. I pushed myself to success, not failure. And that distinction? That’s growth. I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately, but even that didn’t stop me from spending time in the backyard, hands in the dirt, planting. And now? I’ve got my first sunburn of the year… a little stinging proof that I showed up for life today. That’s a win.
