Today I had a two hour interview for this professional fellowship program for early career professionals. I have been anticipating this interview for the past month, I actually didn't think too much about it until it started. It's wild how much my nervous system reacted, acting as if it was under threat the entire time. I was sweating, shaking, my heart felt like it was going to beat outside my chest, I had a headache. All of the classic fight-or-flight responses and you know what? I still did it. I can't believe I sat through that process. Usually I would be canceling these kinds of things last minute - I have in the past but today, I really wanted to push myself and choose something different. It was hard, and I'm not sure if I got it, but honestly I don't care because doing something I didn't think I could do - the interview itself - is enough of a win for me. Time to decompress from the anxiety!
