Yesterday I visited Cedarmere Preserve again with my boyfriend and my dog. It's been interesting to think about how places stay the same and how I've evolved every time I visit them. We visited during sunset, and I'm not going to lie, throughout the day I felt feelings of insecurity and anxiety over whether I was making the "right" decisions in life. I've been reading this book called A Closed Eye which I finished yesterday evening and it's about a woman whose life is half lived due to over intellectualizing everything. I feel like my anxiety can sometimes cause the same sort of thing: overthinking to the point that something no longer becomes enjoyable or really my decision. Choosing to go see the sunset despite this thinking was my win, cause even though anxiety makes me feel too much in my head, moments like these bring me back to what's real 🌞
