I've wanted to talk to someone for ages that I can trust and won't judge me or try to fix me, someone not family or friends because my thoughts are considered too deep or too much. Today I've trialed therapy for 1 session and I was completely anxious about every single "what if" before we talked, especially since I didn't know them or what they were like but I got on the zoom call and we instantly connected, she was really kind and listened to me well. I even told her about this community and how much it has inspired me and how invested I am in this community etc. After the session was over, I was still feeling anxious but I reminded myself that I was safe there and the talk went pretty good, they didn't react badly and just because im still anxious doesn't neccessarily make the feeling wrong, it just means my brain is still being cautious as it normally does but I was still in control and I was safe. I don't know if I can save up for other sessions just yet but it's definitely something I would recommend to anyone and consider going again. Pushing away all the thoughts and just speaking my mind was my win today, and I'm proud of that :D
