This morning started with nerves — I had to drive out and meet my best friends, not too far away but far enough for my anxiety to wake up early with me. While going there, it was surprisingly manageable. I was proud of that. But the real test came while coming back. Somewhere along the way, a full-blown panic attack hit — heart racing, pressure in my jaw, head, and ear, thoughts spiraling. My body screamed to stop, to turn around, to run. But I didn’t. I kept driving. I felt every sensation but I didn’t surrender to it. I stayed with myself. And I made it home.
