Just like the title says, I went to a doctor's appointment today despite feeling symptoms of nervousness. The heat is definitely a trigger, and I don't think I was necessarily nervous about the appointment but the sensations brought on by the heat. Something I imagine is what it would be like to not be in tune with my body. I remember a time where that was the case, which is so weird to think about. It's empowering to realize that even though I feel anxiety, my body has always carried me through and for that, I'm learning to be thankful for and listen to my body. During appointments, I sometimes feel like a deer in headlights, like I'm some sort of prey that doctors are out to get or I'm waiting for some negative news but it's pretty egocentric to assume that's the case. In reality, no body actually cares and that's freeing. I can be as anxious, or not anxious as I want. P.S. - A photo of tomatoes that are growing, one good thing about summer is all the vegetables 🍅
