Ive reached 20 days of being vape free after relapsing on my 3 year 10 month streak. I remeber being really dissapointed and actually quite angry at myself after i came to the realisation that i broke that streak that day but instead of deciding it wasnt worth trying to quit again, i used it to reflect on how much better my quality of life has been for those years i havnt vaped. Instead i took this relapse as a reason to continue to quit/restart quitting My breathing got a lot better - and that helped with my health anxiety - my throat hasnt felt thick or closed up as often unless ive been ill or in moment of panic, i havnt been constantly searching for (what i thought was) the only escape i could find from the world being too much. Yet i have still been searching for something that clicks in with my life perfectly but ive come to terms that the thing im looking for might not even exist lol Since then ive worked on myself a lot, learnt tons of new methods to either distract myself or reframe thoughts such as "i cant do this" into "ok so how can i do this" or just taking time to step back, take a breathe and relax, attempting to enjoy each moment as i can or even just acknoledge what im feeling in that moment even if its shit. This has only been recently where ive started seeing decent improvement abd really trying to help myself as efficiently as possible with the help of my tutor/friend helping me realise that everything is actually going to be ok and that sentebce doesnt bother me as much as it used to anymore
