This seems like a funny instance to me since there's really no logical need to be anxious over this but I found this really neat decorative teapot the other day at the thrift store and I wanted to go back today to get it. The anticipation of not knowing whether it was sold or not, ironically, kicked in this anxious feeling. I was pretty riled up on the drive there but once I saw it sitting on the shelf I just felt relief. Usually in the "old days" I would have had this desire and completely squashed it because of my anxiety; in other words, I was used to suppressing my wants out of fear of anxiety. But this time, I actually did it and I have the teapot sitting on my bookshelf. It's not always serious, and needless to say, you can be an anxious person and still want things and honor your desires no matter how big or small. ☕
