Yesterday, I got back from a 200 km trip with my family — my first in two years. In the days leading up to it, I experienced constant fear and even had a panic attack just thinking about the travel. The thought of long roads, mountain stretches, and no nearby hospital felt overwhelming. I drove as much as I could, and my dad took over when I couldn’t. During the trip, something shifted — I realized I didn’t need a hospital. I am my own safety. Sitting with the fear instead of fighting it helped me get through. I’m still scared of driving alone, but that’s my next goal. Feeling proud of this small but powerful win.
