After eating meals, I tend to become overly conscious and aware of my body, particularly my heart rate. Rather than wallow in my inner dialogue and obsession over wanting to "fix" my heart, I decided to go on a walk yesterday. As you all very well know, it's hard to concentrate and be mindful whilst being anxious but I went on the walk regardless, after eating my meal. I tend to place a lot of rules around food, it's something I'm actively working on when it comes to my anxiety, but going on this walk is one step closer to me seeing that my body knows exactly what it needs to do. The micromanaging is indicative of a deeper issue, rather than something that has to do with my body. I'm thankful for my body, and I know there will be a day where the hyper-awareness will just become less and less. I saw this beautiful cat while on my walk, I think it has an owner since it was so well kept 😺 It gave me side eye at one point, even the cat is over it (lol)
