Hello ive been going with my dad to his eye appointments at manchester eye hospital for the past 12 months .but last tuedsay he was sent to withington hospital for a cateract appointment. ive never been to withington before so its a new place for me and being in a taxi with dad going to a place ive never been too before i find high on my list of potential anxiety triggers..luckily it was a hot day so the driver didnt have the windows open that mich which i is anotherw eirdtrigger ..air rushing in through the windows and hittingme in the face seems to trigger me for some reason so im always hyper sensative to that as its something i have little control over ..luckily though it was a comfatble car with absorbing supension and i didnt feel too bad ..walking around ahospital with long corridors is anotherw orry for me but luckily it was a long walk to the eye centre ..dosnt sound much i know but with someone with travel anxiety , walking anxiety and being stressed out knowing that my dad is reliant on my asking questions and knowing where where going it just add layers on top of layers and my da dis not a patient person and has his own anxieties too but i got through the traveling its strange i have to be realy calm and keep myself in a calm zone to keep the aniety at bay and that makes my dad angry as he wants me to be more aggresive in my approach to dealing with people and hospital staff but i just dont have that sort of personality. i can only keep my anxiety at bay if i stay in a realy zoned out mode. dosnt sound like much of a win but it kind of was for me travel wise.
