Went out for a walk this evening and found these giant sunflowers just towering on the sidewalk. I've been feeling a little low lately, scattered as I try to piece together my next steps since my layoff - BUT it has been so wonderful to do things for myself, and to do them despite my unrealistic beliefs and anxiety. I'd say the exposure today was going on this walk even though I gave myself so many excuses; it's easy to sit inside and ruminate and obsess but I choose differently. That's been something I've been echoing to myself a lot these days when I have to make a choice: choose differently. 🌻
