Today I broke some of my anxious rules. I wasn't necessarily feeling my best today but instead of waiting for the "perfect" moment, I went on with my day anyway. I walked my dog at a park and spotted this finch (I love birds so this was special since it was my first time taking a photo of a finch!), I went to the mall despite all the crowds and noises and lights, and I ate a "risky" food - rice. Sometimes I forget that I'm just human. I'm not this perfect robot whose always going to do the right thing in the right way at the right time. Anxiety can feel like such a cage, pressuring me not to do things until it feels absolutely "right", but what if it's not about getting it right at all? Maybe my actions, decisions, thoughts, and sense of self don't have to be this curated, unattainable thing I'm meant to "achieve" or "fix." I am content being as I am, navigating each moment with what feels aligned instead of "right." Perhaps its about getting good at being wrong, messy, and imperfect.
