well as the title says, I had a scary medical test today. I have been very anxious about this for a week, but I have done alright with it. I did have one panic attack over it two nights ago but mostly I have kept my cool The test was a Stress Echo. The plan was they were going to be give me a medicine that would speed up my heart so they could get a good measurement on my bicuspid valve. Unfortunately I have a valve replacement surgery in my near future and they were trying to determine just how near. I explained to them my panic disorder and how I might have a hard time with it but that I was going to do my absolute best to work through it without them even knowing that I was struggling so they could get the images they needed. Well you will never believe what happened. They were able to get the measurements they needed WITHOUT the scary heart racing medicine, so it was just your basic run of the mill echocardiogram! I still count this as a win because I showed up to do the thing that was super scary even though everything inside of wanted to run and hide. I am so relieved I didn't have to do it. Also my mom said I was still brave and still took me for ice cream afterwards even though I well into my mid 40s hahaha
