Hey everyone. I used to frequent this platform fairly often, but I haven’t been here much recently. The last few years have felt, at times, impossible. I have spent hours in A and E and in therapy and at times I was unable to even get to university because of my PTSD and Panic. My grades were capped because of my attendance and I didn’t know if I’d be able to get my grades back up. Last week I found out I got a first! I’m having a difficult time right now, and I’m not very good at ‘letting it sink in’. But I’m doing my best to absorb it as a win. That I was able to get a first class degree in spite of all of this extra stuff I was dealing with. I can honestly say in full confidence that knowing the state I have been in throughout this degree, other people are more than capable of achieving the things they want to do in life despite feelings of intense anxiety and panic. I keep saying ‘I don’t know how I did it’. But actually I do. I let my anxiety life alongside me. I’m having a particularly rough time right this second due to some medication withdrawals that have my anxiety through the roof and skyrocketing. And to be honest I could probably do with some support. But I wanted to say something about this anyway because I wanted to encourage other people. Thanks! Jedd
