So blood tests are one of the hardest things for me and I have a history of fainting because of my fear and panic attacks related to them. I went in today and I was feeling a bit more anxious than usual. The wait was 45 minutes and the longer I waited the more nervous I got. I felt a wave of anxiety come in and I started to panic. My husband was beside me (thankfully) and I heard him say just let it come. Don't worry. It's not a big deal. And my face flushed and I started sweating like crazy so I bent forward and put my head in between my knees, not caring anymore if anyone was looking. I did deep breaths and told myself it's okay if it happens. I DID IT. I GOT THROUGH IT!!!!! I DID NOT FAINT! I flushed and was full of sweat but I recovered quickly and when I looked around literally nobody noticed. And when I was called in for my blood test I was fine!!!!! I realized today that when we are having a panic attack, even though it feels like the world is ending and everyone is looking at us, literally nobody is noticing!
